Handmade Gift Tags – Call Me Cupcake Gift Tag & Box
Hi there… it’s a good day to visit! We had sooo much fun making this adorable gift tag and box this past weekend at our Paper Hugs Class and I know you will, too! Ready to give in minutes, this mini gable box is perfectly sized for sweets, treats, small gifts and gift cards.
CALL ME CUPCAKE
The star of this project is the new CALL ME CUPCAKE Framelits Dies. They’re designed to match the Sale-A-Bration HELLO CUPCAKE stamp set, but I’ll let you in on a secret, they play well on their own, too! Either way, they’re a limited edition item only around for a short time, so if you want ’em (you DO!), grab ’em quick!

That adorable box is the shimmery Lustrous White Mini Gable Box (also available in Silver). They’re easy to assemble and pop into place in seconds. Add a 2″ x 12″ piece of HOW SWEET IT IS Designer Paper and now it’s pretty enough to give!
- Savvy Tip: While the box is still folded, adhere the DSP. Starting at one end of the box, wrap around and adhere BEFORE assembling. Simply pinch the fold lines. Keep it like this and they store flat (photo above). Make a few to keep on hand, they’ll be ready to pop up and give when you need them.
HANDMADE GIFT TAGS
The die-cuts are the tag! The cloche creates the base; everything is added to it. Choose colors to coordinate with the DSP (the coordinating Cardstock Pack makes this easy). Here’s what I used for my dark chocolate cupcake… create your own favorite!
- Cloche is Whisper White Cardstock
- Pedestal base is Coastal Cabana Cardstock
- Cupcake base is Pineapple Punch Cardstock (optional: stamp with coordinating stamp from HELLO CUPCAKE; trim shadow)
- Cupcake (between liner and frosting) is Early Espresso Cardstock
- Frosting is Melon Mambo Cardstock
- Hearts are Lovely Lipstick and Whisper White Cardstocks (notice all the other die options?)
- Use 1/8″ Circle Punch to create the ribbon hole for the Pineapple Punch 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon
Here’s a peek at the back of the tag (and box). There’s plenty of room for a short ‘Happy Birthday” note and signature. Notice that shimmer on the box? It looks lux in person!
- SAVVY TIP: Stamp sentiment from HELLO CUPCAKE before adhering pieces on your tag.
