Hi crafty friends! It’s time to say goodbye to the five 2020-2022 In Colors, so I’m sharing them one last time in today’s FLOWING FLOWERS birthday cards that feature a fun and simple technique you’ll want to try!
TECHNIQUE: GHOSTING
Grab your Stamparatus and White Craft Ink for this double-stamping technique that adds depth to your stamped images, especially on darker colors of cardstock.
SAVVY HOW-TO TIPS
- Place card base in Stamparatus and position stamp in lower right corner; stamp once with White Craft Ink
- Rotate card base to stamp opposite corner, repeat. Allow ink to dry (important!)
- (Impatient? Heat Tool on Level 1 speeds the drying time 🙂
- With stamp still in place on Stamparatus, remove white ink with Simply Shammy
- Move card base about 1/8″ in any direction; stamp over white ink with color-matched ink to cardstock
- Savvy Tip: Save time and effort by making all card bases ahead so you do stamping with White Craft Ink all at one time, only removing white ink ONCE!
A panel of color-matched designer paper adds a lovely backdrop to your sentiment.
