PERENNIAL LAVENDER Masculine Card Idea!
❤️ Hi crafty friend! This week, enjoy making a masculine card with the new PERENNIAL LAVENDER Suite of coordinating products, our February Savvy Suite Showcase.
While florals are typically considered ‘feminine’, this card is designed to give a MAN!
In fact this was made with my step-dad in mind (although I think my step-mom would love it, as well)… wooHOO for savvy versatility! Who will you give it to???
WANT TO MAKE THIS? YOU CAN!
Follow these simple step-by-step instructions…
- PRETTY PEACOCK CARDSTOCK
- Card Base: 4-1/4″ X 11″; score and fold on long side at 5-1/2″. Burnish fold with Bone Folder
- Scrap – Die-cut with large branch die in PAINTED LAVENDER Bundle; snip into two pieces with Paper Snips
- POOL PARTY CARDSTOCK
- Scrap – Die-cut with accent die from PAINTED LAVENDER Bundle, shown in photo above
- VERY VANILLA CARDSTOCK
- 2″ x 4-1/4″; Stamp sentiment from PERENNIAL POSTAGE in top 1/3 with Pretty Peacock Classic Ink
- 4″ x 5-1/4″ Inside Sentiment Panel; stamp greenery from PAINTED LAVENDER
- Optional: Stamp front, left corner of a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope to match (top photo)
- PERENNIAL LAVENDER Designer Series Paper 4″ x 4″
- Adhere to card front, with equal margins at top and sides (see top photo)
- LOST LAGOON CARDSTOCK
- Die-cut with second-to-largest die from PERENNIAL POSTAGE Bundle.
- Keep on your die-cutting platform and move die in about an inch to the right (or left) to cut a piece that is narrower than the die.
- Match die to cut piece at top and bottom; die-cut a second time… you’ve now created a custom size! (Remaining narrow piece is scrap for another project)
- Adhere Very Vanilla stamped piece on top, centered; adhere die-cut pieces at bottom.
SAVVY RIBBON TIPS!
{tips shown in photo above}
- Wrap Lost Lagoon 1/4″ Bordered Ribbon around a bottle of glue (or anything about 4″ in diameter) and tie a square knot in front; trim ends, then cut ribbon in half at the back of the bottle.
- Wrap ribbon around the Lost Lagoon Cardstock die-cut piece (with knot centered on the front over the die-cut branches) and adhere to the back with tape or adhesive (above photo-on right).
- This is a savvy way to get a great-looking, easy-to-tie knot BEFORE you adhere it!
- Adhere panel to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Embellish with Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins (copper)… done!
