WANT TO MAKE THIS? YOU CAN!

This divine card technique makes TWO cards… it’s a two-for-one special!

As you can see in the photo at the top, each card was finished a little different for extra inspiration. The card on the right (above) omits the color layer behind the sentiment; instead, emboss with the Stars At Night 3D Embossing Folder. Two ideas… you choose! Instructions include the Color Layer

DIVINE CARD INSTRUCTIONS

  • BOHO BLUE CARDSTOCK: 1 sheet (wooHOO… BACK IN STOCK!) 🙂
    • (2) 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ Card Bases
      • With full sheet, score on short side at 4-1/4″
      • Turn and cut on long side at 5-1/2″; burnish folds with Bone Folder
  • NIGHT OF NAVY and VERY VANILLA CARDSTOCK: 1/2 sheet each
    • (2) 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ pieces each color. {One of each color will be used for stamping; the remaining set will be used for the color layer. If you’re not using the Color Layer, you only need one set}
      • STAMPING: On stamp positioning tool* (ie retired Stamparatus or similar) place sentiment stamp from NIGHT DIVINE face down in center of one of the pieces of Very Vanilla CS; stamp with Night of Navy Classic Ink, then carefully clean stamp with Simple Shammy (don’t move the stamp).
        • Place one of the Night of Navy CS pieces in the same position on the platform, rub with anti-static powder and stamp with Versamark Ink. Remove and sprinkle with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, tap off excess and melt with Heat Tool on 2.
        • Stack both stamped pieces together (in same orientation) and cut down the center vertically
        • Align one piece of each color together and adhere to optional scrap paper; trim to 2-5/8″ x 3-1/4″
      • COLOR LAYER: With remaining pieces, stack and cut down to 3-1/4″ x 4-1/8″; on short side cut both at 1-5/8″. Mix colors for a color layer on each card.
        • Adhere to card front in opposite position of sentiment layer, making sure to butt each piece to the other. (see top photo)
        • Adhere 10″ piece of Navy & Gold Glittered Ribbon over center seam, folded in half; trim ends as needed
    • *SAVVY TIP: If you don’t have a stamp positioning tool, stamp both pieces freehand in the same general position on each piece. Cut ONE piece in half vertically, place on top of the other and align sentiment. Mark this center line with a pencil, cut the second piece and trim as described above!
  • GOLD FOIL
    • (2) 2-3/4″ X 3-1/2 pieces
    • Die-cut a small star with STARS AT NIGHT Dies from center of each piece (cuts will be hidden behind the sentiment… see inside of card below; if you want an additional star, cut it now!)
    • Adhere each pre-cut sentiment panel to one piece of Gold Foil, centered.
    • Adhere 10″ ribbon, folded, over center seam of color layer on card front. Adhere sentiment panel on top with with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Adhere small die-cut stars on top of ribbon with Mini Stampin’ Dimensional
  • ADHESIVE-BACKED STAR TRINKETS
    • Adhere one star on top of die-cut star… done!

COORDINATED FINISH!

  • Stamp one of the wonderful sentiments from HOPE & PEACE in Night of Navy Classic ink on 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock
  • With NIGHT DIVINE Dies, cut and adhere one manger scene (per card) from Night of Navy Cardstock
  • With STARS AT NIGHT Dies, cut and adhere one small star (per card) from Gold Foil
