WANT TO MAKE THIS? YOU CAN!
Here’s a look at the pieces, before assembly…
Slimline JOY OF CHRISTMAS Card CUT & PREP DIRECTIONS
REAL RED CARDSTOCK
Card Base – 7″ X 8-1/2″ [Finished Size: 3-1/2″ x 8-1/2″]
Score on short side at 3-1/2″; burnish fold with Bone Folder
With remaining piece, rub with Anti-Static Powder, stamp NOEL [Joy of Noel] with Versamark ink, sprinkle with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (tap off excess) and melt with Heat Tool on 2 (high).
Optional Foam Adhesive: Trim stamped image just large enough to die-cut. Remove paper backing from one side of Adhesive Sheet and apply cardstock.
Die-cut NOEL with coordinating die [Joy of Noel]
BASIC WHITE CARDSTOCK
Stamped Layer – 3-1/4″ X 8-1/4″
Stamp large ‘boughs of holly’ image three times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink (see photo) [Joy of Noel… it’s a large image, so you’ll want Clear Block E]
Color the stamped images, (note the middle section gets covered) then lightly tap Wink of Stella Shimmer Brush off the edge of a Clear Block, dropping flicks of shimmer on panel; apply shimmer to select leaves (photo below)
DISTRESSED GOLD SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER
Die-cut one rectangle with holly & berries [Christmas Classics]
Die-cut three evergreen sprigs [Joy of Noel]
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Apply white panel to card front
Turn rectangle die-cut to back and apply double-sided adhesive; adhere ribbon in zig-zag pattern and trim ends, as necessary. Adhere to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals
Tuck evergreen sprigs under die-cut; adhere
Adhere NOEL vertically to rectangle die-cut
Savvy Tip: Start at the top with N… add L at the bottom, then fill in O and E for easy spacing
Apply Real Red Pearlized Enamel Effect on berries, allow to dry… done!
ENVELOPE? If you’re wondering what envelope to use for slimline cards, #9 (my preference) or #10 envelopes are widely available. Here’s an example of the one I use… and USPS postage is standard!
Have fun creating this savvulous JOY OF CHRISTMAS card for your own family & friends ❤️
