Unlock Creativity with the Stampin’ Up!® Color Coach

Hi crafty friends! If you ever struggle with choosing colors for your projects, the Stampin’ Up! Color Coach is sure to become a favorite crafting tool!
The Color Coach contains all 36 core Stampin’ Up!® colors (excluding neutrals, basics and In-Colors) for limitless project possibilities.
It’s an essential tool for every paper crafter who wants their own expert color assistant!
HOW TO USE THE COLOR COACH
Start with a single color, then turn the white inner circle on the Color Coach to choose a method of color selection; you’ll see the color suggestions through the windows. The method you choose can vary based on colors in your personal inventory and/or how many colors you want to use. Choose one method- or combine methods. Don’t worry, there’s an explanation with tips on the back of the Color Coach to make this color tool easy to use.
The methods are…
Analogous: Choose any three colors next to each other on the color wheel
Complementary: Colors opposite each other on the color wheel… creates a bold contrast
Triadic: Three colors an equal distance apart on the color wheel (think a balanced triangle)
Monochromatic: Choose one color and pair with a darker shade and/or lighter tint of that same color

COLOR COACH IN USE
The sample card (photos above and below) showcases two methods combined- Triadic and Monochromatic.
To start, I chose three colors with the Triadic method since my design included three large diagonal stripes. I chose Poppy Parade as my first color and the Color Coach matched it with Azure Afternoon and Lemon Lime Twist (photo above). Note: The lines on the Color Coach may not match up exactly, so use either color closest to the line.
I could’ve stopped at these three colors, but I chose to pair each of them with a lighter or darker version of that same color- also known as monochromatic. You can see each monochromatic pair below…

Here’s the colors brought to life on the card above… any combination of Stampin’ Up! color-matched products such as cardstock, ink, markers or embellishments can be used.
Neutrals (whites, browns and blacks) can be added without affecting the color balance.
What new color combination will you try with the Stampin’ Up!® Color Coach???
