CUT & PREP (Width x Length)

  • Secret Sea Cardstock 4-1/4″ x 11″ + small scrap
    • On Paper Trimmer, score and fold on long side at 5-1/2″ to form an A2 Card base
      • With the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder, emboss the the card front on the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (or similar)
    • With small scrap, cut (1) with the berry cluster die* from Delicate Pines Bundle on the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (or similar).
      • *Note: This die cuts three at a time, so save the remaining for additional cards.
  • Basic White Thick Cardstock 4″ x 1/2″
    • Stamp sentiment from Delicate Pines Bundle with a Secret Sea Classic Stampin’ Pad; cut ends into banner with scissors
  • Lost Lagoon Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″

ASSEMBLY (see Photos 3 & 4)

  • Arrange the 5 leaflet pieces into a circle, slightly overlapping them. Adhere them in place with the bottom 3 leaves only (leave adhesive off the top 3 leaves of each leaflet for next step)
  • Lift the top part of each leaflet and tuck an evergreen branch underneath; adhere in place with glue.
    • Note: To keep it simple, I only used 5 of the 6 pre-cut pieces. If you’d like your wreath to be fuller, simply add more!
  • Adhere both pinecones
  • Adhere the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Adhere the sentiment strip across the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Embellish with (5) Traditional Sparkling Sequins [Pool Party]… done!

Savvy Tips for Creating Wreath Card #3:

  • Lightly pencil a 2-3/4″ – 3″ circle on the card front (I used a Spotlight On Nature Circle Die as a template, but use anything that forms a circle about that size… see Photo 9 above
  • Starting with the evergreen ‘snowflake’ stamp from Delicate Pines Bundle, stamp with Mossy Meadow ink around the circle (photo 9 above)
  • With the same size ‘snowflake’ stamp in the different pattern, stamp each one offset with Old Olive inksee Photo 10 below
  • Stamp a pinecone in between each ‘snowflake’ and the sentiment in the center of the wreath with Early Espresso ink
  • With a dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Marker, hold the open brush tip over the card front and tap the pen off the edge of a Clear Block to add splatter… move pen as needed to cover the front evenly
  • Add a Traditional Sparkling Sequins to the center of each ‘snowflake’ [Granny Apple Green]
  • Wrap Early Espresso Linen Thread around the card front at the top and tie into bow; trim ends as needed… done!

I hope these three ideas spark your creativity like they did me. These wreath cards were actually inspired by this sweet email from my crafty friend Monika …

Hi Tammy,

I cased your beautiful fall wreath card and like it so much that now I would like to craft a Winter/Christmas wreath card like it. Since you have such a good feel for colors, what would you suggest to use, and also maybe different dies?

I couldn’t resist the challenge- and the Delicate Pines Bundle was the perfect solution.

I’d love to know what you think — which card is your favorite, or how would you use the Delicate Pines Bundle to create your own winter wreath? Leave a comment below — I always enjoy hearing your ideas and seeing what inspires you!
