Painted With Love Party Pandas Valentine Card
The Party Pandas from the 2018 Sale-A-Bration catalog are just so adorably cute, you can’t help but smile… especially when they’re FREE! These have to be one of my top fave freebies from Stampin’ Up!, although there’s a lot of competition. I love that there’s 3 different pandas to choose from, as well as 3 different sentiments and a fun confetti stamp in this set… great versatility! Perfect for youngsters, or the young-at-heart: there’s just SOOO many possibilities with this set!
Since the panda was really the star of this card, I didn’t want too much to distract from him, but he certainly deserved a dazzling backdrop. The new Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Catalog fit the bill. The hard part was selecting which pattern to use- they’re all so pretty! Featuring Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral and shiny gold foil, it just makes this little guy POP. A wee bit of shading with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends pen offers depth. Accented with Melon mambo card stock from the Layering Circle dies and a leftover piece of retired bakers’ twine (save your scraps!), this card is ready for assembly. SAVVY TIP: Trace the Whisper White stitched circle die cut with the black Stampin’ Write Marker. It accents the circle without the need for a layer of black card stock. Easy-peasy!
This was the perfect card to make on this stormy day (yes, we FINALLY! got the rain I mentioned was coming on Sunday… yippee-skippee!!!). Bright, cheery and oh, so cute… all these vibrant colors really perked up my desk. And definitely made me smile. How about you???
