POETIC EXPRESSIONS SUITE: Four Sweet & Thoughtful Cards!

Got an hour? Follow the step-by-step instruction below to complete four sweet & thoughtful cards (with matching envelopes) to give your family & friends for a variety of occasions!

Let’s get started… anyone can make these!

MEASUREMENTS & INSTRUCTIONS

• BASIC WHITE THICK CARDSTOCK – 2-1/2 Sheets
  • Card Base: (4) 4-1/4″ X 11″
    • On Paper Trimmer score 8-1/2″ x 11″ sheet on long side at 5-1/2″; turn and cut on short side at 4-1/4″. Repeat on second sheet for four cards. Fold and burnish each with Bone Folder
  • 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ (half sheet) – Stamp sentiment and flower arrangement from Thoughtful Expressions Bundle four times each in Basic Gray Classic Ink (leave enough space around each stamped image to die-cut).
    • Color flower arrangement, as desired [shown: Bubble Bath & Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers]
    • On Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, die-cut with coordinating dies (shown in photo above)
• POETIC EXPRESSIONS 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper
  • (4) 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″- Choose two coordinating patterns; stack sheets together and cut on Paper Trimmer at 4-1/4″ (x 12″). Turn on long side and cut at x 5-1/2″; repeat. (This is enough for four cards)
    • Stack all four pieces and cut on long side at 3-1/2″; mix patterns so each card has one short piece in pattern 1 and one long piece in pattern 2.
    • Adhere to card fronts (see finished card photos)
  • OPTIONAL DECORATIVE ENVELOPE (4) 2-1/4″ x 6″
    • With same two patterns, stack sheets and cut at 2-1/4″ (x 12″ – watch pattern direction); turn on long side and cut at 6″ to create four pieces
    • Adhere to outside of Medium Basic White Envelope flap; trim edge with Paper Snips

EMBELLISH!

• BUBBLE BATH 3/8″ SHEER RIBBON – (4) 4-1/2″ Pieces; (4) 6″ pieces
  • With double-sided adhesive, adhere 4-1/2″ piece of ribbon to card front where patterns meet; trim ends to card with Paper Snips or sharp scissors
  • Fold 6″ piece into V and adhere behind flower die-cut.
  • Adhere sentiment label and flower die-cut to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals
• 2023-2025 IN-COLOR DOTS
  • Embellish with three coordinating Dots [shown: Wild Wheat]… done!

STEP IT UP! OPTION

• PHOTO ABOVE: Instead of ribbon, use the accent dies in the Thoughtful Expressions Bundle to add additional interest to the flower arrangement!
  • Shown: Greenery- Old Olive Cardstock; flower- Bubble Bath Cardstock
  • SAVVY TIP: Don’t have cardstock to match? Color Basic White Cardstock with your Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers for even more value and versatility!

SAVVY TIP: Don’t need them all now? Leave the inside sentiment blank and add it as the occasion arises… the front sentiment works with everything from birthday to sympathy. Place the envelope and card in a Clear Envelope to keep them together and like-new until you’re ready to give away!
