Retirement is such an exciting time! Moving from one season of life into another is definitely worth celebrating. So when I needed a masculine retirement card for a friend, I reached for the new True Gentleman Designer Series Paper from the Occasions 2018 catalog
Know why I love using designer paper? It does the work for you! The patterns and colors all coordinate, so mixing and matching is easy-peasy. It made this card “masculine” without any effort. SCORE!
The versatile Tailored Tag Punch does double duty here! I really like the angular shape and it’s a perfect fit for the sentiment (from the Wild About Flowers stamp set). But here’s the exciting bit: Flip it over, center your piece and use it to create the banner ends! woo-HOO
Save 10% when you bundle it with the Truly Tailored Stamp set!
SAVVY TIP: The largest banner is wider than the punch, so here’s a simple way to cut the end. From the reverse side, draw a line at the center point (1-1/2″) about 1/2″ from the bottom, then cut from edge to center in both directions. Easy & quick!
Use your scrap pieces from punching the banner ends to decorate the inside greeting panel! It adds a bit of pizzazz, and when coordinated with a matching envelope- you’ve got a sophisticated, masculine retirement card worthy of celebration.
What I like about this card is it would work just as well for a birthday or other occasion. Swap the sentiment and you’re good to go. For now, should you want to congratulate a retiree, I hope you’ll enjoy making this masculine retirement card yourself!
Happy Stamping!
