Today’s project shows off the two main dies in the BUTTERFLY BEAUTY Thinlits Die set. They can be used individually or layered with each other to create a two-tone color effect. Here’s the best part: one pass on the Big Shot machine is all it takes to fill a card front- it doesn’t get any easier! Want just one or two butterflies? A couple snip with your scissors- done! And we haven’t even talked about the other 18 dies in the set yet!
To step up this card, I’ve added a panel of Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper die-cut with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies. It adds a bit of pattern without detracting from the main focal point- the butterflies! Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals on a Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock A2 card base that’s been embossed with the Polka Dot Basics Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the Big Shot machine. The polka dots add texture, along with a nice contrast to the DSP.
The top layer of the butterflies is die-cut from Highland Heather Cardstock and layered over Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, which is die-cut using the second coordinating layer die. The Multi-Purpose Adhesive Sheets are a must for peel & stick ease when adhering these to your projects. Simply apply to the back of your cardstock before die-cutting and they turn anything into a sticker.. easy-peasy!
Isn’t that sentiment sweet? It’s just one of a few that you can mix and match. Stamp with a Gorgeous Grape Classic Stampin’ Pad on Whisper White Cardstock. The butterfly on the inside greeting is stamped with the Highland Heather Classic Stampin’ Pad. The front is trimmed with the Triple Banner Punch. Metallics Sequins (iridescent) adhered with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen add the finishing touch.
