Hi crafty friends! Today’s card showcases the best reason to use Stampin’ Up! products: color matching! Discover the benefits, tips to get started, along with a tutorial that steps you through creating today’s beautiful card, making you look like a pro! See how I even pull off a little cheat and how you can too in a pinch 🙂
While our top quality products and amazing customer service are great reasons to buy, in my humble opinion they just support your savvy decision! I want you to discover for yourself the benefit of coloring matching: more creative joy with less frustration and waste!
For way too many years, I just bought what caught my eye at the big box stores, especially with those weekly coupons! But guess what, invariably I’d start making a card only to realize I didn’t have cardstock (or ink or patterned paper or ribbon or embellishments or _____) to match. So I’d pull out more stuff in search of the “right” color. Part of the time, I’d just give up in annoyance (after creating a heapin’ mess to clean up!) Can you relate?
I did this for years until I discovered Stampin’ Up!… LIGHTBULB MOMENT! Now, I use what I buy and have saved myself sooo much money and personal frustration because I’ve realized the benefits of value over price. Craft supplies taking up space hold little value if you’re not using them! It actually costs you- in time, energy and money. There IS a better way!
With our products, each color is the same whether it’s found in ink, Designer Paper, cardstock, ribbon, embellishments or markers. As found on today’s card, Daffodil Delight in the Gingham Gala DSP will match the ink in the Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin’ Pad and Stampin’ Blend markers, which matches the Daffodil Delight cardstock. Easy, no-fuss, expert coordination!
Where to start? Select a few favorite colors (there’s 53 to choose from or pick a Color Collection for the best value) and invest in essentials # 1 and 2 below (#1-3 will give you the most versatility), then move down the list as you’re able. Like to color? Maybe you’d prefer markers over Designer Paper. After the essentials, pick what you’ll use most. Repeat with additional colors as your budget allows. Follow this formula to move from frustrated to fulfilled… it works!
