Creative Ways to Present Gift Cards – Part 2
Creative Ways To Present Gift Cards
Today’s project is another creative way to present gift cards that’s deceptively quick and easy. Last week I shared a fun Mini Gable Box that’s also perfectly sized for small gifts, favors, treats… and the ever popular Gift Cards! This beautiful Kraft Pillow Box transforms a simple gift into a special one with a little creative touch.
The Kraft Pillow Box is definitely on my recommend list. Just pop the end flaps in place, do a wee bit of decorating and you’re good to go! Combine two favorite bundles: Pop of Petals and Stitched All Around and the end result is a beautiful decorated gift package ready to give in about 15 minutes (and that includes a little 3″ x 3″ mini card)!
The Pop of Petals Bundle delivers great versatility with beautiful stamped images you can punch out in seconds! — NOW 10% OFF —
Make sure to check out this post for tips on aligning your stamps for easy punching every time.
Project Details
- With the Lovely Lipstick Classic Stampin’ Pad, stamp and punch the flower from the Pop of Petals Bundle six times on Whisper White Cardstock. Punch one flower from Granny Apple Green Cardstock, cut in half for leaves.
- With a Bone Folder curl the flower petals. Glue two together, offset, creating three flowers with leaves on the bottom of two. Top with Glitter Enamel Dots (they’re color is really Melon Mambo, but you’d never know!)
- With Lovely Lipstick Classic Stampin’ Pad, stamp flower once on the front of a 3″ x 3″ mini card made from Whisper White Cardstock. Stamp leaves with Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin’ Pad. Glue one of the punched flowers on top.
The Stitched All Around Bundle is one of my top favorites: great sentiments with super-versatile framelits that are G. O. R. G. E. O. U. S. —Now 10% OFF—
- Stamp sentiment with Lovely Lipstick Classic Stampin’ Pad on Whisper White Cardstock.
- Die-cut on Big Shot Machine. Die-cut heart from Lovely Lipstick Cardstock; glue next to sentiment.
- Glue flowers to sentiment (on top and underneath- see photo below)
- (Optional) While you have the Big Shot out, emboss a 2-1/2″ x 7″ piece of Lovely Lipstick Cardstock with the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (or another fave).*
- Wrap around Pillow Box and secure ends with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
- *Savvy Tip: Spritz alcohol from a Stampin’ Spritzer on cardstock before embossing to prevent cracking. If you add several drops of Frost White Shimmer Paint, you’ll have a shimmery textured piece of loveliness… Lipstick Loveliness! lol (photo below)
- Insert gift card (or gift). Close flaps and wrap a 15″ piece of Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon around Pillow Box, secured in place with SNAIL or Tear & Tape Adhesive. Tie an 8″ piece of Lovely Lipstick 1/8″ Ribbon into a bow around the above. (see photo below)
- Adhere sentiment on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. You’re done!
Switch It Up
This is for our grand-daughter Christa’s 18th birthday. She gets a shopping spree on us, so I’ve tucked the gift card inside with a little tissue paper. I think it’ll make her smile!❤
Still need to wrap gift cards for Christmas? Switch to a holiday sentiment and see this post for how to make poinsettias from the Pop of Petals Bundle. Change colors. Use Designer Paper… be your own brilliant, creative self!
