Retiring 2018-2020 In Colors- Take 2!

Happy Friday, friends!  It’s take two for project inspiration using the retiring 2018-2020 In Colors Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover and Blueberry Bushel. Enjoy not just this card, but a few favorites from years past, along with a link to all the projects I created with these colors.

If you missed the vibrant bouquet of flowers on Wednesday’s Mother’s Day card project, see it HERE. While that card focused on using Stampin’ Blends Markers with matching cardstock and ink for a polished project, today’s project shows you a fun way to use the coordinating ribbons.

Retiring 2018-2020 In Colors- SAVVY TIP

Grab the INK REFILL for your Classic Stampin’ Pad NOW! No one- not even a single person- has ever told me they regretted spending the few dollars. MANY though, have told me they regretted not getting the refill while they could! It’ll keep your ink pad juicy for many, many years and can be used to re-ink Stampin’ Write Markers as well- not to mention lots of other fun techniques. Well worth the few dollars, but hurry- they tend to sell out quickly!

Today’s card is so quick and easy and can be used with your favorite sentiment to fit most any occasion. This sentiment is from COUNTRY HOME (which will continue to be available for the next year- wooHOO!)

• Start with an A2 card base made with Thick Whisper White Cardstock
  • (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored & folded @ 4-1/4″)
• Stamp sentiment of choice.
  • To create the dual color image, use Stampin’ Write Markers (tips HERE). I used Lovely Lipstick and Basic Black.
• Adhere strips of 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon in each of the 2018-2020 In Colors onto card front with SNAIL Adhesive. 
  • Since SNAIL Adhesive is wider than the ribbon, apply on top of the Silicone Craft Sheet and simply rub off the extra… easy-peasy!
  • Use the Grid Paper for easy and equal alignment
• Tie a separate bow for each color; adhere with a Mini Glue Dot

I am really sad to see the STITCHED ALL AROUND Stamps and STITCHED LABELS Dies retiring. I used them a LOT and highly recommend adding them to your craft stash before they retire… very versatile!

Last One! Create multi-colored sentiments like this with the 2018-20 In Color Stampin’ Write Markers, then add an easy accent with the scallop die from SEASONAL LAYERS (retiring also), and top it with a matching bow using Lovely Lipstick 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon.

This sentiment was from Picture Perfect Birthday, which retired last year; use your current favorite, along with the 2018-20 Cardstock Pack for the scallops in lieu of the sold out DSP.
