Three Suite ‘Life is Sweeter Card’ in yummy Mint Macaron
Three Suite ‘Life is Sweeter Card’ in Mint Macaron
Today’s ‘Life Is Sweeter Card’ was so fun to make -with elements from THREE different product Suites! It demonstrates why product coordination is, in my opinion, the TOP reason to love Stampin’ Up! Everything mixes and matches – meaning value and versatility for YOU! {Fortunately I can also sing their praises for stellar customer service, high quality products and an inspiring & supportive community!}. Life really is sweeter when you can get MORE from what you have!
Three Product Suites
While products within each Suite are designed to coordinate with each other, they ALSO coordinate with other products outside the Suite! That’s the beauty of Stampin’ Up! For example, once you get Mint Macaron cardstock, it’ll coordinate with five different Designer Series Paper packs! Same applies to embellishments. Ink. Ribbon. Versatility = Value
Here are the three product Suites used for this ‘Life Is Sweeter Card’ and where you can find them in the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! Catalog.
- DELIGHTFULLY DETAILED {p 38-39}:
- Delightfully Detailed Specialty Designer Series Paper (frame)
- Detailed With Love stamp set (sentiment)
- Detailed Trio Punch (rounded corners and inside details)
- BUNDLE BONUS! Save 10% on the Stamps & Punch Bundle
- SHARE WHAT YOU LOVE {p 176-177}:
- Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper (first layer and flower accents)
- NATURE’S POEM {p 142-144}:
- Nature’s Twine (Mint Macaron stitched accent on frame)
Savvy Tips
Like to sew? Separate the Nature’s Twine into two groups of strands, grab an embroidery needle and with one group, stitch up and down through each hole, securing the ends on the back with tape. Five minutes is all it takes to make this lovely stitched frame!
SAVVY TIP: Let your Designer Series Paper (DSP) do the {design} work for you!
- Select two coordinating patterns (preferably one small in pattern (leaf sprigs) and one large (flowers).
- Use the small pattern as the first background layer; the second for your accent.
- Pick your card base color from one of the common colors found on the DSP (for this card, either Mint Macaron or Shaded Spruce would work)
- Since the DSP is already color and pattern coordinated (thanks SU!), designing is easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy!
I like finding creative ways to do things – a fun twist, you could say- so for this card instead of adding the sentiment on top of the DSP, cut the DSP to make room for it to peek through from the underlying card base. See what I mean??? It doesn’t have quite the same impact on camera as it does in real life, but it IS a fun twist!
Notice the lovely accents at each corner? That’s the Detailed Trio Punch in action, with an accent stamp from Detailed With Love using the Mint Macaron Classic Stampin’ Pad. They work so well together, they look like they’re all one design!
The Detailed Trio Punch is a 3-IN-1 PUNCH with three functions that are independent of each other- so you can can use them together or separately!
- A corner rounder to punch the outside edge of corners (YAY!)
- A lovely abstract flower punch for the inside corner
- A small oval punch for weaving ribbon (similar to the effect on the front frame, but not shown here)
