Olivia’s Magical Day Unicorn Birthday Card

Happy Day! Welcome back to the other half of my family’s birthday celebration from this past weekend.  Today I’m here to show off my sweet and very spunky grand-daughter and the Magical Day Unicorn card & coloring gift I made for her eighth birthday. Olivia looooves unicorns, so I just had to use the Myths & Magic Suite from the Spring Occasions Catalog. While most of these products are retired now (hence the flashback), I know many of you have this stamp set (and/or bundle)… and possibly some Designer Series Paper left! It’s such an adorable Suite! Doesn’t Olivia’s sparkly Magical Day unicorn card just make you smile??? 

Here’s a peek at the inside (photo below), personalized just for her! This sentiment totally fits her personality! Can you guess her fave color???

I stamped (Memento Tuxedo Black Ink) and colored the unicorn (Stampin’ Blends markers) on thick Whisper White Cardstock, then die cut it with the coordinating framelits and glued it to the inside of the card. This way I didn’t have to worry about bleed-through common with alcohol markers.

To coordinate with the card, I made this sweet coloring gift set (photo below). This adorable box (made with the Lots To Love Box Framelits Die) holds five Crayola Pip Squeaks Markers, peeking out with the help of the Layering Circles Framelits Dies and Window Sheet (recycled from packaging).

The little coloring book is just 2 Narrow Note cards, randomly stamped inside with the images from the Magical Day stamp set, stacked and tied with Whisper White Bakers Twine. Quick & easy, but oh, so wonderful for a little coloring fun! (see the video below for a look inside)

This is a great gift for a little girl- but it’d also be a fun party favor or transportable coloring kit for when you’re out & about with kiddos; a fun way to keep them occupied while waiting.
