Happy Monday! Our Birthday theme continues featuring favorite retiring products. This week is all about birthday cards for the guys in our life! Anyone find creating masculine cards challenging? Help is here! Today’s Big On Birthdays card starts us off and by week’s end, you’ll have three go-to designs to incorporate into your Design ‘Notebook’ that are easy to make and adapt!

This card features the ‘Big on Birthdays’ photopolymer stamp set coupled with the ‘True Gentleman’ Designer Series Paper (DSP) and 2016-2018 In Color ‘Dapper Denim’. Together, they make a great combination for masculine cards!

Masculine cards can be tough since you can’t foof (is that a word?) them up, so the Duet Banner and Balloon Bouquet punches fill that gap well. They both offer not just one, but TWO images per punch. Plus, did you know they both have other coordinating stamps sets for greater versatility? And they will both be around for another year! They’re ideal for quick and easy cards!

SAVVY TIPS

Photopolymer stamps are flexible! Bend them into fun shapes or curves, as I did here to match the Banner Punch (above). Bend them into shape as you attach them to the clear block and press firmly to secure. You’ll want to make sure both the block and stamp are clean and dry to get a good hold.

Create an ombre’ effect on stamps with the new Stamparatus stamp-positioning tool (below). Ink with the lightest color and stamp, then ink the medium color over the bottom 2/3 and stamp again, then stamp the darkest color on the bottom 1/3. The tool stamps in the exact same position each time… so COOL and EASY! This is a must-have tool that will be available June 1! You are gonna want it!!!
