Number of Years Birthday Card with Large Number Dies & True Gentleman DSP

Number Of Years Birthday Card

The birthday theme continues this week with handmade cards just for the guys in our life. Got any special milestone birthdays coming up? My dad’s turning 75 years young soon, so I made this Number of Years birthday card for him (shhhh!) and thought I’d share. It features two of my favorite coordinating Stampin’ Up! goodies that I’m sad to say are retiring:  ‘Number of Years’ stamps and ‘Large Letter’ Framelits Die Set. Add the (also retiring) ‘True Gentleman’ Designer Series Paper and cardstock pack and you have the makings for easy masculine cards!

If you missed last week’s birthday cards featuring another retiring suite ‘Picture Perfect Party’, find card #1 HERE, card #2 HERE and card #3 HERE.

DSP that’s FUN & EASY

What fun pairing this ‘glasses’ themed paper with the sentiment “LOOK who’s turning…”. Did you catch that already? I love a good pun! Add the plaid pattern for the banner accent and green golf shirt (lol) pattern for the numbers and it’s all coordinated for you. Easy-peasy! Say it with me: “I LOVE Designer Series Paper”!!!

When I finished, I thought “this is how Jerry Lewis would dress if he went golfing”. Then I had a good laugh! Do you see it, too????  PLEASE say YES! Sometimes I crack myself up. Not exactly what I was going for, but I figure if I laugh, my dad will, too! Did you??? As an afterthought, I wish I’d centered the ribbon to look like a bowtie. That would’ve put the “outfit” over the top funny! Give it a try!number of years birthday card

But getting back to task: Check out that sentiment on the inside greeting panel. It’s one of my all time favorites. Ever! It says so much, so well. Works for any special person in your life… old or young, male or female.

But lest you think this is just for birthdays, check out all the other stamps. If you’ve been looking for a great multi-purpose greeting set, I highly recommend this one! Pair it with the ‘Large Number’ Framelits Die Set for even more versatility. I used them on this card, but you could just as easily use the number stamps. Add the ‘True Gentleman’ DSP and cardstock pack to quickly create a stack of masculine cards. All are on the short list to retiring, so grab them before they’re gone!
