Enjoy Life Card – Holiday Wreath
Enjoy Life Card– You probably wouldn’t think of the Enjoy Life stamp set for holiday cards, but, that’s hopefully about to change. I’m a big fan of wreaths, whether hanging on a door or a card front. You also know how much I value versatility, so today’s card got me giddy with excitement- it ticked both boxes!
Check out the fun and easy card that had me doing a happy dance…
The secret “ingredient” that makes it work is something you probably have tucked in a drawer: Post-It Notes! A simple bit of masking is all it takes to transform the “flower grass” (what would you call it???) into a wreath.
Enjoy Life Card- Project Details
Die-cut a 2-1/8″ circle from a Post-It Note (I prefer the full adhesive ones for this) using the Layering Circles Framelits Dies. You can re-use it numerous times before it gets saturated with ink and you need to start fresh.
Prepare to stamp the wreath on a 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Centering the wreath is easy with my Savvy Tip below…
Once you’ve found the center point, place your mask over it. If in doubt, fold the circle in fourths to get the center point of the circle. Match it to the pencil mark on the cardstock and adhere, pressing flat.
Now’s the fun part: stamp! Using the Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin’ Pad, continually ink and stamp your way around the wreath until you’re happy with the coverage. Remove mask, erase pencil marks and stamp sentiment of choice in center with Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin’ Pad. That beautiful sentiment is found in the First Frost Stamp Set.
SAVVY TIP: Use the Stampin’ Pierce Mat underneath your cardstock to provide a firm cushion that results in better stamped images and in this case, a crisper circle. I recommend this for all photopolymer stamps.
With Multipurpose Glue or SNAIL Adhesive, adhere wreath to a Mossy Meadow Cardstock A2 card base (4-1/4″ x 11″, scored and folded at 5-1/2″). Follow with a 1/4″ x 12″ strip from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper; adhere above wreath, snip to fit and then use the rest below the wreath.
For the final embellishments, color 10 Rhinestone Basic Jewels of various sizes with the Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends marker; adhere all over wreath as “berries”. I like using different sizes that match the other Cherry Cobbler elements, but, if you’d prefer a simpler method, use the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
Add a bow made from 7″ of Cherry Cobbler 1/4″ Double-Stitched Ribbon, adhered with Glue Dots. DONE! Easy-peasy 🙂
